Guided Parenting Conversations
Beyond Behaviors
Service Description
Led by Sarah Cooper of Baby & Me, this group supports parents in understanding their child’s behavior as communication, while also making space for the parent’s own experience. Rather than focusing on strategies or fixing behavior, the emphasis is on understanding, connection, and the relationship being built over time. This group is for parents who want to feel more grounded, less alone, and more confident in how they understand their child. Parenting can feel confusing and heavy at times — especially when behavior feels hard to understand. These guided conversations help parents make sense of what’s going on beneath the behavior. Learn more about your facilitator: Sarah Cooper is the founder of Baby & Me. With over 20 years of experience supporting young children and families — and her own lived journey through fostering, adoption, and parenting — she walks alongside parents as they make sense of their child’s behavior as communication and better understand the emotional world beneath it. Her work is rooted in relational trust, curiosity, and the belief that caregivers matter more than any strategy.

Support Group Booking Policy Our support groups are designed to provide a calm, welcoming, and confidential space for parents and caregivers to connect, share, and receive support. To help ensure a positive experience for everyone, please review the following booking policies. Eligibility These support groups are for parents and caregivers only. We ask that children do not attend support group sessions. This allows us to maintain a quiet, focused environment where caregivers can fully participate. Registration & Booking Advance registration is required, as space is limited. Spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Your registration is considered confirmed once booking is completed. Cancellation Policy We kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled group. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) or no-shows may result in forfeiting the session fee, if applicable. This policy helps us respect the time of facilitators and allows us to offer open spots to other families. Rescheduling If you are unable to attend, you may request to reschedule your spot to a future support group when available. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session. Rescheduled sessions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Waitlist If a support group is full, families may join a waitlist. If a spot becomes available, waitlisted participants will be contacted in the order they joined. We encourage families to notify us as soon as possible if they can no longer attend so another caregiver may participate. Attendance & Participation Please plan to arrive on time, as late arrivals can be disruptive to the group. Active, respectful participation is encouraged, but sharing is always optional. We ask that all participants honor confidentiality and respect the experiences shared within the group. Facilitator Cancellations In the rare event that a support group must be canceled by the facilitator or organization, participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered a reschedule or refund, if applicable. Questions If you have any questions about booking, attendance, or policies, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help and want to ensure these groups feel supportive, accessible, and welcoming for all caregivers. Thank you for helping us create a thoughtful, supportive space for parents and caregivers.
