The Hanen Program: It Takes Two To Talk

This 10-week program supports parents and caregivers of children ages 0–5 with language delays through a combination of parent-only training and individualized family coaching, led by our Hanen Certified Speech Language Pathologist. Parents learn practical, evidence-based strategies to support language development during everyday routines, while brief coaching sessions with a Speech-Language Pathologist help families apply these strategies with confidence. By focusing on real-life interactions, the program empowers parents to become their child’s primary language facilitators and create meaningful communication opportunities throughout the day. t Takes Two to Talk® is designed for parents and caregivers of young children ages 0–5 who are experiencing language delays. This program is especially beneficial for children who use few words, are late to begin talking, have difficulty understanding language, or struggle with interaction, attention, and turn-taking. The program is ideal for families who want to take an active role in their child’s communication development.
