Service Description

Social Paths Group is a supportive, small-group experience for school-age children designed to nurture social communication skills in a way that honors each child’s unique neurodiversity. Led by one of our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, this group focuses on helping children better understand themselves, connect with peers, and navigate social situations with confidence. Through games, movement, structured activities, and guided discussion, participants will explore skills such as: Understanding and expressing thoughts, feelings, and needs Perspective-taking and flexible thinking Initiating and maintaining interactions Problem-solving during play and peer interactions Self-advocacy and communication repair strategies Rather than teaching “one right way” to socialize, our approach emphasizes authentic communication, mutual respect, and building tools that work for each child. We create a safe, encouraging environment where differences are valued and children are supported in developing meaningful connections at their own pace. This group is ideal for children who benefit from explicit social communication support, peer practice, and clinician-guided coaching in a fun and engaging setting. This group is designed for school-age children who would benefit from extra support navigating social interactions and communication with peers in a small, structured, and supportive setting.
